Walking around Bombay/Mumbai can be intense. I like to walk places. I think best with movement. That has been a challenge for me in Bombay but the last couple days found some routes that were doable. I thought I would share a couple videos and pics.
A couple sidenotes:
- There are few sidewalks and cars come super close to you. But a couple people have told me “Don’t worry. They won’t hit you. It’s inconvenient for them to hit you.” Bombay is a big city with many big and small obstacles you have to deal with each day. The small conveniences go a long way.
- I was told this morning that “I ask a lot of questions with no right answers.”
- There are virtually no street signs. Google maps has made things easier. Say what you will about the spying, black mirrors, etc. but…
- Here is a good link about crossing the street:
Walking Around
This morning I had to walk about 2 km (I’m super global now so all about the metric system) to this Yoga Spot (that will be another blog). But these videos are all the things you might see in my neighborhood at 9am.
The Crows pic is especially for my father.

The Crows don’t seem to care about the no eating (lame joke) but kind of clever too.
I always enjoy random public health type marketing. Not seeing a ton thus far.
You get the irony?

Littering is an issue here. Been more of an effort to clean things up

I start work April 9th. Headed to Coorg tomorrow then back to the city!
